Club Events
Events
In addition
to the normal league and friendly matches, and the various competitions, there
are numerous other events enjoyed by members.
Some of these have been regular events in the calendar for some years
whilst others are recent innovations.
The season
starts in April with a lunch prepared by our splendid volunteer catering team followed
by President’s versus Captain’s match in which all members are able to play.
Many members
of the public enjoy our Open Day in our lovely grounds in this popular park.

In addition
to a quiz night, beetle drive and charity evening during the summer season, we
recently introduced a winter social, involving food.

and silly games, which was very well
supported.

The Antique
Bowls Day has become a regular feature of the year. We certainly attract attention by our
colourful dress and use of antique wooden bowls.

2015

2016
A special feature of the club is the Gala Day when in
addition to various stalls

and a special bowls game

we have a very successful auction of promises. This not only raises money for the club but
also results in opportunities for members to socialise even more in their own
homes.
2016 saw the
Queen’s 90th birthday and Harrow Bowls Club celebrated this unique
event with special guests.

The season ends in September with the Captain’s versus Vice-Captain’s match followed by a meal.
However the fun continues in November with the annual dinner and dance

and trophy presentation.

We’ve had a few days like this

but
plenty like this.......heaven!
